Arlekino Theater Troupe comes to Havurah with an exploratory musical theater program for Russian-speaking Jewish families with children ages 4–6. It is a perfect match with Havurah, hands-on Jewish education that takes place on Saturdays at the JCC. The Havurah curriculum allows children to create their own Jewish identity and discover what being Jewish means to them, while having fun.
The program includes 2-hour dramatic play, music, storytelling, and art workshops, inspiring young children to discover their narrative voice through interactive interpretations of Jewish and Yiddish folk tales. Children will have the opportunity to sing and dance to traditional Eastern-European Jewish folk songs, and will participate in multi-sensory art activities that promote Jewish learning. All workshops are taught in Russian by performing and fine arts experts.
