The Laurie M. Tisch Gallery accepts exhibition proposals from artists, curators, and organizations that explore themes that resonate with the mission of The JCC in Manhattan.

Through its dynamic programming, The JCC in Manhattan creates an inclusive community guided by Jewish values. We have found that many of those values are universal, and the Gallery presents a perfect opportunity for exploring them. The Laurie M. Tisch Gallery is a versatile exhibition space dedicated to the promotion of multi-disciplinary exhibits that offer new perspectives on the rich history and values of the community. The gallery hosts five to six exhibitions every year, each one running for approximately two to three months. Exhibits range from solo artist shows, to historical multi-media exhibits and touring shows from museums and galleries around the world.

A public space, the Gallery welcomes thousands of people each week, young and old, Jewish and non-Jewish. All visitors can engage with the images and ideas expressed in this unique public space.

Before you submit your work for review, we recommend you spend some time looking through our website, In the Gallery section,, you can familiarize yourself with our past shows, and you can explore The JCC in Manhattan's diverse programming and services throughout the rest of the site. In addition, please consult the gallery dimensions for a sense of the space's characteristics.

Exhibition proposals are reviewed on an ongoing basis by the Gallery Director. If a proposal is of interest, it will be reviewed by the Gallery’s curatorial committee. An exhibition proposal should include:

  1. A brief introduction to the exhibit outlining the main themes
  2. A list of works (title, medium and size) to be included in the exhibit
