Jewish Sisters in Sobriety: Jewish Women’s Untold Stories of Alcoholism, Drug Addiction, Codependence and Recovery
Be inspired and informed by the courageous first-hand accounts of addiction and recovery collected in a new book by JACS, Jewish Alchoholics, Chemically Dependent Persons and Significant Others, a program of JBFCS. Jewish Sisters in Sobriety features the accounts of women from a wide range of Jewish religious affiliations and social-economic backgrounds who struggle with alcohol and other drugs, or who are the child, partner, or parent of someone who does. Listen to readings by some of the book’s contributors and join the discussion of the much-denied and minimized problem of addictions that can affect Jewish women. There will also be a book-signing and sale. Our moderator for this evening will be Judith Licht, television host and journalist. |
