Shayna Goodman received a Masters in Social Work and in Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan. Her MA thesis explored American-Jewish fiction and its connection to the past in Eastern Europe. Shayna has worked for the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research. She has contributed essays about gender identity, class and contemporary Jewish culture to Salon, Lilith Magazine and The Forward. She is currently an MFA candidate in creative writing at Hunter College.
