Summer Teens/Young Adults Special Needs Swim Class
This beginning swim class is for teens and young adults aged 15-29 with special needs. This class focuses on basic swimming skills including breathing technique and becoming comfortable in the water. Swim Like a Fish Swim Club (1-hour classes)
Tryouts Required. By Appointment Only. Contact Kathy Morgenstern at kmorgenstern@jccmanhattan.org or 646.505.4456 to schedule an appointment. Your swimmer must complete 25 meters of all four competitive strokes. This program is broken down into two classes. Our Endurance Workout is geared towards swimmers that want to continue working on their endurance and proper stroke technique. Our Competitive Training Workout is for swimmers that want to also learn how do competitive starts and turns and other racing skills to potentially try-out for the JCC Thunderbirds Swim Team. All Swim Like a Fish Swim Club swimmers participate in a Sunday class from 12:30-1:30pm. Each swimmer will also choose between a 4 pm-5 pm Endurance Workout on Tuesday or our Competitive Training Workout on Wednesday class.
